WVL Centre Society transitioned in late March 2024 from the seeds of WestView Learning, a private business  founded in 2014 by Heather Stannard.  The business moved to the current site of 3248 Cowichan Valley Hwy – the site of the historic 1912 Somenos Community Hall, in summer of 2020.  As each of the programs have developed based on community needs, the ability to meet the growing numbers of K-12 learners in the tutoring and day programs, as well as the developing Garden to Table programming,  WestView Learning to shift into the non-profit structure.

Our mission is to create an educational community dedicated to empowering diverse learners in a tailored environment, expanding personal strengths to gain knowledge, skills and confidence for the future.
